The Perfect Toy
The day I knew Doggy was going to be home I went to the pet store and bought all the necessary products for a puppy, I had nothing, no water bowl, no bed, nothing. Of course like all dog owners (I assume) I also bought the highly
unnecessary toys, I wanted Doggy to be happy, so I spend a couple of bucks on his toys. Water and food bowl where like $20 for both, plastic bags $2, leash and collar $20 then on toys I probably spend twice as much. Little I knew it was going to be a waste of money. He got home and of course was too scared to play or do anything but sleep. Next day I left all the toys around him, he destroyed a pig and a giraffe, leaving only a tug knot. He was not a fan of the ball, instead he decided he would play with a towel, the towel that I used to dry his mouth so he wouldn’t drip water all over the place when he drank(I gave up after 2 days, too much work for nothing, so I let him drip), he loved that towel, I tied a knot and that was for the first 2-3 weeks his favorite toy. Nowadays, he would play with the kong toys, but still he rather pick his toy, like the buoy he stole retrieved from the river, or sticks he would try to bring home and plastic water bottles. The squeaky ball I use it more as a caller than a toy, ohh yeah and he also loves to play with oranges and pinecones. I now do not waste any money on toys, he picks his toys and that just perfect for the both of us.
