Party Time
Yesterday was a day of multiple parties in this country, starting with St. John’s Eve, which is really big specially on cities along the coast line. There was also Pride weekend in the city but without a doubt what kept most people entertained was the game Spain-France for a spot in the semifinals of the Euro 2012, for those who don’t follow soccer like me, the Euro 2012 is currently more like the The Hunger Games, where countries like Spain, Portugal, and Italy and recently eliminated Greece, are fighting against Germany, the UK and France. Without getting too political, now 2 starving countries (Spain and Portugal) are gonna fight for a spot in the final againts the winner of the match Germany vs England, ohh yeah, cuz Spain beat France last night, party all over the place and here I should retake the original idea of this post. So I took Doggy for a walk around the city, had a glass of wine and kept walking, he was having fun until he hit the Gay Parade, too many people around and I could see the stress on his body, I moved away until he relaxed and little by little walked toward people, he needs to get used to people, after a good 20 minutes he was fine, he sat next to me and would allow people to touch him, which is a huge step forward. Then we walked down the centre of the city, stopped by to have pizza and ice-cream and went back home. On the way back all the drunk people would approach us and try to touch Doggy, I tried to avoid it but it was hard since everybody was euphoric about the game’s result.

Hi Doggie, I’m like you, hate crowds and people just presuming it’s ok to stroke me, especially DRUNK ones. I’m getting better with people, Mum takes me to town where it is busy. We don’t like football . Pop and see us when you get time.
Big licks Mollie x
mollie and alfie
Ah bless him, too many people can be horrid… I’m in Cornwall and we have visitors coming out our ears! The dogs prefer it out of season.. and me… you can guess eh lol.
I have to do a sale and Haz and Lil come with…. it helped to get them used to people but by the end I think we are all glad to get home
He is a lovely dog and I do enjoy hearing what he has been up to x ….. oh and the football…. then we got the Olympics lol
At least Doggy got some good socializing…lol. Pizza and ice cream, huh? Sounds yummy.
Ohh no he does not get to try those things, I always carry his treats so he doesn’t feel left out, but human food is not for him, eventually he’ll reach it behind my back, but till them he can only smell it lol
I really like your blog!
Thanks!
